Over the years I have rescued reactive dogs. I had used positive trainers but nothing worked and the inevitable isolation from other dogs was the norm. Walking them early in the morning and late at night, avoiding places where there were dogs and people. Then I met Roddy. The changes were instant. All of their behaviours made sense and Roddy taught me to change the negative behaviours. Life became normal and my relationship with my dogs transformed.

Then Walter arrived from an unknown background. He had been abandoned and was found and brought to me by a rescue charity. I was his last chance due to the ban and if

I couldn’t keep him he would have to be euthanised.

No pressure there then!  After a few weeks of trying to manage him myself it became clear that this boy was next level. I have never known such an aggressive dog. He was 40kg, lunging and snarling at both humans and animals the instant he set eyes on them. He is powerful enough to take me with him and had caused some injuries and very embarrassing moments. There were many tears and I doubled I could keep him. I was at the end of the line and didn’t think I could continue. So I called Roddy and Louise for their help once again.

As always I instantly felt supported and encouraged to keep going. Walter had no more chances. Within minutes Roddy had Walter walking on his lead with no issues. His explosions were tackled at pack walks where we could practice with people who have been through the same issues and did not judge. I learned new techniques to tackle these overwhelmingly wild outbursts and grew new confidence.

Now dealing with Walter is much easier. He is still learning but he has changed so much that he is unrecognisable. I never thought he would improve so much. We now go on pack walks and can easily deal with any situations. Walter has made friends with other dogs, no longer reacts with humans and takes no notice of horses and livestock. He even sits in the garden and watches the birds with no issues.

I have also found friends and unwavering support with the amazing community Roddy and Louise have created. And they, of course, are always there to help.

I cannot recommend Be Pack Leader enough. My life has changed, my dog has been saved and our relationship is now unbreakable. Thank you so much 🙏❤️

I want to say a massive thank you to Louise and Roddy for literally changing mine and my dog Wilson’s lives. Couldn’t recommend them and the things they teach enough

A year ago I had a Rottweiler that was reactive to most dogs and sometimes people. I had been to a mixture of four other dog trainers and behaviouralists and spent thousands trying to help him before finding out about Be Pack Leader - Canine Rehabilitation, none really made any difference. I had tried pretty much everything (or so I thought) and was nearly ready to give him up

Then after a single one to one session I was able to understand how to handle his reactivity and various other issues. After a few months I started attending pack walks and with their help taught Wilson how to get along with other dogs instead of reacting

I’m now at a point where I can fully trust Wilson off the lead around other dogs, something I would have never dreamed of a year ago! Wilson’s even managed to make a bunch of dog friends along the way 🐾

Massive thanks again, you’ve really done so much more than just help me to train Wilson. My relationship with Wilson has never been better, you’ve allowed us to actually enjoy living with each other and now I can take him along on any adventure I have Stuart Said

I went through four force-free trainers before Roddy with my boy Kyro GSD —three of whom told me he needed to be PTS, and they all said he should never be around other dogs or people. He had multiple health issues as a puppy and, with Covid at the time, his world became very small and all of his experiences with people (vets) were frightening. As a working-line GSD, he was extremely  smart and protective and this meant he wanted to protect himself from me or anyone else he perceived as a threat.  This often meant trying to scare or bite me, any dog, or any person, and he was scared of absolutely everything. I genuinely didn’t know how I’d get him past the age of two.

I’d already spent hundreds of hours and thousands of pounds on training and trainers. He’s incredibly smart and knew what I was asking of him but as soon as he was scared he wouldn't be able to hear me, I was drowning in conflicting advice and nothing was working .

Roddy helped cut through the noise and in one session gave me the tools and

education to help my dog learn to trust me—so he could follow commands and look to me for answers instead of reacting out of fear.

Thanks to Roddy, he’s now eight and lives happily with another dog. It hasn’t been without challenges, but he has also become one of the most rewarding dogs I’ve ever had.

Trust Roddy. He knows what he’s doing. Things really can get better.

I have 4 pugs, 2 boys and 2 girls who up until a month ago got along just fine. However,  after one of my girls started to resource guard me and became aggressive towards the others… all hell broke loose in my house.

My male puppy also reached sexual maturity at this time and triggered testosterone aggression in my older male. The fighting became so bad that it also possibly triggered an attack of cluster seizures in my rescue female. It got so bad that myself and my husband have been living completely separate lives for over a month, taking 2 pugs each, not being able to eat, sleep or even be in the same room together due to the pugs violent and aggressive outbursts.

I personally was at breaking point and was mentally struggling. We had contacted multiple different behavioural consultants and I hated them all. Then we met Roddy and Louise for the first time yesterday. A bold claim was made of how we would see a difference after the first session… yeah sure you haven’t met our pugs was my first thought.

Well all I can say is I am completely overwhelmed by the difference after that single training session, just as claimed. I am so so happy to be able to sit in my own kitchen on my own sofa with all 4 of my pugs again and I cannot thank Roddy and Louise enough!

They did that… after a SINGLE SESSION. We have a long way to go but OMG they have given me the correct tools, support and guidance on how to be a better owner and my own pack leader.

All I can say is thank you so much for giving me my life and my dogs back.

This is me sat on my sofa with all 4 pugs for only the second time in a month. Something I really didn’t think was going to be possible ever again

I can’t express how grateful I am to Louise and Roddy for completely transforming my rescue dog Pancho. For years, we lived in fear, avoiding people and other dogs due to his reactivity. I kept him constantly on a lead out of concern for his behavior, and I never thought I’d be able to take him on rides with my horse, which I’d always wanted to do.

Thanks to Louise and Roddy’s incredible training, Pancho is a new dog. He’s now off-lead, confidently exploring his surroundings and even joining me on hacks with my horse. It’s clear how happy and confident he is now; he approaches people on his own, eager to check them out and has the freedom to just avoid whatever makes him uncomfortable.

The pack walks and training groups that Be Pack Leader does have been so important in helping him understand how to interact with other dogs, and it’s heartwarming to see how much happier and more relaxed he is. It’s also refreshing to be with people who are in the same situation, a lot of the time people don’t get what you are going through, but other people with reactive dogs do - which is what makes the pack walks so great!

I feel empowered with the tools and knowledge Roddy and Louise have given me, and I’m so lucky to count them as friends. I can turn to them for anything, if you’re looking to help your dog thrive, I can’t recommend their training enough!
